Dr. Robert Hughes was born in Boston and has lived in this area exclusively.
He received his Bachelor degree at Boston College and his D.M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the America Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society and several local business groups.
He maintains a vigorous schedule of professional education to keep his knowledge and techniques on the leading edge.

Shelley Gorrie has worked in dentistry for over thirty years and is an expert
at helping patients with their dental insurance and finding the most affordable options for financing
their dental care. Her personal touch with each patient is truly remarkable.
At chair side Georgette Nicolosi
is Dr. Hughes' other set of hands. She has gained through experience a valuable knowledge of the many techniques and materials necessary to deliver high quality modern dentistry. She is adept at making the patient comfortable and answering questions about treatment. Her presence chair side is an asset to both doctor and patient.
Michael McGovern
was born and raised in the western area of Washington State. He
graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science
Degree. After graduation Mike worked at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance
before deciding to change coastal scenery and careers. Mike moved to
Boston and pursued a dental hygiene career by attending a
Post-Baccalaureate program at Forsythe School of Dental Hygiene.
Mike was initially hired to help us as a temporary hygienist to cover
vacation. He made such an impression on us and the patients we asked him
to stay as a second hygienist on Tuesdays. Over the last few months he
has added the additional day of Thursday working at this office.
Kim McLean graduated cum laude from Mount Ida College in 2011. She is currently pursing
her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. During her education at Mount Ida, she was inducted into the National Honor
Society, and Phi Theta Kappa. Kim is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and Massachusetts Dental Hygienists’
Association.
Her goal is to provide the most comprehensive, up to date patient care as possible with emphasis on treatment planning and proper
patient education. Kim enables herself to provide this care by staying current on all new research, products, procedures, and
equipment through continuing education and dental publications. Her enthusiasm of the dental hygiene profession and willingness
to learn makes her a valuable team member for our dental practice.
